EST stands for Electronic Spark Timing which means the ignition timing is controlled by a module based on RPM rather than with Mechanical weights that can stick or corrode.

This distributor is designed to be a direct plug-in replacement for Carbureted or late model GM Fuel Injection V-8 Engines.

This Distributor is for all Left Hand (STD.) Rotation engines. Also Fits RH opposite Rotation engine with a Flat Tapped Camshaft (1997 and Earlier)

NOT FOR RH ROLLER CAM ENGINES!!!. These engines are Vortec engines that were built after 1997. IF you have a RH engine after 1997 this will not fit!
